Birthday Request and Heart Attacks

Hubby’s birthday is this coming Sunday.  The kids are sooo excited.  They want to take him to Red Lobster, or as Rob and I call it the Scarlet Crustacean.  It was our code name when we were heading there as a surprise and we didn’t want the kids to know, or else they would be in such an uproar that it was almost impossible to get them to calm down.  I then reminded them that daddy’s fav meal is a nice steak.  Only because it is just one of those things that I don’t buy and would rather have someone else cook it for me.  Not sure if we will even go out to eat.  Just an option.

So he sent me a text last night with a web address www.royalbaconsociety.com. (Corrie, DO NOT let Dan know of these sites.) There was a link to another blog: Bacon Haikus.  That had this awesome post about puffy pastry cinnamon rolls wrapped around bacon.

I KNOW!  Rob has requested them for his birthday breakfast, but during the composing of this post he happened to check his BP.  Houston, we have a problem.  Mainly that my man ran out of his meds and is going into the doctor tomorrow morning for blood workup and a new script for his BP medicine.  Needless to say the bacon cinnamon rolls will not be on the menu March 7!

I then clicked on the link to what I thought was the original post at this is why you’re fat.  Here are a few picks w/descriptions….

This blog makes me want to clean my cupboards and fridge of anything processed.  Then fill it with fruits, veggies and fresh fish.

Finally got to the original post at Life Is A Feast.

This blog seemed to be a quite a few notches down on the gluttoness meter until I happened upon this post for a chocolate truffle rolled in bacon bits.

Okay, maybe I’ll try a bit.
