Assembly Line

The kids wanted to go outside and ride their bikes, but I have to study for my chemistry test this evening.

They can't go outside without me because we live in an apartment complex with lots of cars coming and going.

I could go sit outside and sit in a lawn chair, but then my chemistry books would end up in a heap beside the chair because it is too nice to sit outside and study.

So they are in the living room taking apart a boat load of pens so they can put them back together.

At one point Rory says to Eli, "No, you are to put them together, and I am quality control."

Gotta love management.

It is what it is

I'm not even going to apologize for the lack of posts over the last year.

If you know me you know that I went back to school (yes college) last spring to earn my nursing degree.

Wife, mom, homeschooler, volunteer, student.  Just to name a few

There are some days that I would like to cut out about 3 of those titles and hide under the covers.  That's when I tell the kids to play the Wii or turn on netflix for about and hour and I take a nap.  So refreshing.

Today marks my one year anniversary of being in school.  My 5th quarter starts tonight at 6pm with Chem 100.  I'm scared.

There's this web site called ratemyprofessor.com.  You can "rate" your professor or see what others have said about them.  I am torn.  My chem professor as been described as a grandfatherly type that goes off the subject many times during lecture and gives no study guides for the final.  Everything is straight from the book, can be very obscure, and never mentioned in class.

I don't mind reading.  I love it.  When it's interesting.  How do you make chemistry interesting?  Ugh!

I also have a nurse aide training class which gets me closer to applying to the nursing program.

We are still in a 2 bedroom apartment, and are looking for a 3 bedroom house to rent.  Rory's girly stuff is clashing with Eli's Legos and Legos.  They both need their own space and we need them to have their own space.  We want to continue to rent because we don't want to "settle" for a house that we will just want to move from once I am done with school.  So if you know of a place close by let us know.

I haven't even opened my books or organized my folders. Or had a shower. And only one cup of coffee.  I think I need to take care of all that.

We went to Schmidt’s for lunch with some of the Adkins crew.  We stopped at the candy shop during our hour long wait.  The kids picked out nerds and wax lips/mustache.  I was going to crop the pic, but I wanted to keep Rob in there holding my purse.  hehe
